Hidden Currents

Auckland Art Gallery, Window work.

The installation shown in black light included 5 sculptures based on marine micro organisms, combined with strings of words.

Word strings; inspired by marine algae the concept of the Perspex strings of words was to float texts that refer to the survival this delicate species.

Each string had a separate quote' this one was engraved with a quotation from Rachel Carson:

'It is by the deep hidden currents that the oceans are made one'.
